Art glass is magic. Whether it is an immense cathedral window or a small beveled creation hanging in the kitchen window, art glass catches our attention and delights us with its ever-changing, awe-inspiring interplay of light and color.
My passion for playing with glass began about 30 years ago. My greatest satisfaction comes from creating new designs and experimenting with different techniques, including glass-on-glass mosaics, traditional foiled and leaded glass, fused and painted glass, fused glass in combination with traditional techniques. For most of the year, I work in my own studio, Purple Pelican Art Glass Studio in Hillside Beach, MB, Canada. My studio is located on Lake Winnipeg with magnificent, inspiring views. Winter months will find me working in a new studio in Phoenix, AZ, USA, The Red Art Barn, with my collaborator, Shirley.
